A Doctor’s Prescription Is Often Required

One of the most important things to know is that you must have a prescription from your doctor for any device we create or order for you that you plan to have covered by insurance. If you are an existing patient who is replacing equipment that has worn out or broken, you still may need your doctor to write a new prescription.

Many times, primary care doctors are not experienced in prescribing the right type of orthotic or prosthetic, or are unaware of advances in the industry. We can help them use the right words to get the prescription written properly to get the device you need – and have it covered by your insurance.

If your insurance doesn’t cover your device, you can pay out of pocket. In that case, please just book an appointment with us directly and we will cover all your options.

Am I Eligible For A Prosthetic Limb?

If you have had a limb amputation or were born with a congenital limb defect, you are likely a candidate for a prosthetic limb. Patients may require prostheses for any number of medical conditions or situations.

  • Diabetics
  • Military Veterans
  • Cancer Patients
  • Accident Victims
  • Post Surgical
  • Patients
  • Congenital Limb Defects

Most insurance policies will cover at least some of the expenses of your prosthesis. We carry prostheses in a wide range of reputable, reliable brands like Ossur, Otto Bock, and LegWorks.

Care & Comfort Of Your Prosthesis

We will design your prosthesis specifically for you to allow for maximum comfort. It can take time for your residual limb to become accustomed to wearing your prosthetic hand, arm, foot, or leg, but we will work with you and provide unlimited adjustments until it’s just right.

WE UNDERSTAND CONFLICTING EMOTIONS

Many varied emotions can surface as you face the new realities of your life. This is true for patients experienced with prosthetics and orthotics, and those just beginning the journey.

We want you to feel prepared when you walk through our doors – don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
